ENT

From ears, dizziness, nose and throat to sleep apnea, we treat a wide range of symptoms. With precise equipment such as endoscopy and hearing tests, we diagnose and treat with care.

What sets us apart

Pharyngeal fiberscope examination

Pharyngeal fiberscope

Using an endoscope of the throat, we provide precise examination and diagnosis for a wide range of symptoms. It also supports early detection and treatment of cancer through laryngeal inspection, as well as swallowing assessment.

Hearing aid consultation and fitting

Hearing aid consultation

We test whether a hearing aid is needed. A hearing aid specialist visits on Thursday mornings, and you can try a device with a one to two week rental.

Allergy testing (blood test)

A blood test can check for 39 allergen substances. Knowing the cause helps us choose the right treatment and preventive measures.

Ear symptoms

Pain, discharge, difficulty hearing and more: ear concerns take many forms. Please consult us early if anything worries you.

About hearing aids

For those who notice difficulty hearing, often with age, we perform a hearing test and recommend a hearing aid. A specialist visits on Thursday mornings, and a one to two week trial rental is available.

Impacted earwax

We remove built-up earwax. When it is hard, we prescribe ear drops to soften it before removal.

Otitis externa

Bacteria enter through ear cleaning or small cuts and inflame the ear canal. We prescribe antibiotics and ointment.

Otitis media (1, acute)

Viruses or bacteria from the nose pass through the Eustachian tube into the middle ear and cause inflammation. We prescribe antibiotics and ear drops, and perform an eardrum incision if needed.

Otitis media (2, with effusion)

Fluid collects behind the eardrum, making it hard to move. We perform a hearing test and an eardrum incision if needed.

Cholesteatoma

Part of the eardrum sinks into the middle ear cavity, where earwax builds into a mass that destroys the surrounding bone. Surgery is the fundamental treatment.

Sudden hearing loss

Hearing loss of unknown cause that develops suddenly. We prescribe steroids, circulation improvers and vitamins. Severe cases require an intravenous drip during admission.

Age-related hearing loss

Hearing that declines with age. We perform a hearing test and recommend a hearing aid.

Noise-induced hearing loss

Inner ear damage from long-term exposure to noise. We perform a hearing test and prescribe vitamins and circulation improvers.

Dizziness consultation

Dizziness

Dizziness ranges from a spinning, rotational sensation to a momentary unsteadiness. We identify the cause and treat accordingly.

Age-related dizziness

It may originate in the ear (dislodged otoliths) or the brain (stroke, hemorrhage, tumor). Orthostatic hypotension can also play a part.

Meniere's disease

Common in women in their 30s to 50s, this is sudden rotational dizziness with ringing or a blocked feeling in the ear. Stress, lack of sleep, fatigue and pressure changes are factors.

Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo

Rotational dizziness lasting about 30 seconds to a minute when you turn, lie down or change the position of your head. It resolves, but can recur.

Oral medication

Medication suited to the symptoms eases dizziness and nausea.

Kampo (herbal)

Herbal medicine matched to constitution and type of dizziness supports improvement.

Dizziness exercises

Exercises moving the head and body restore balance and help prevent recurrence.

Nose symptoms

Congestion, runny nose and hay fever can greatly lower quality of life. We confirm the cause by testing and aim for improvement at the root.

Sublingual immunotherapy

Sublingual immunotherapy

A medicine containing allergens such as cedar pollen or dust mites is given over a long period, gradually acclimating the body and improving the underlying constitution.

Xolair subcutaneous injection

For people with severe cedar pollen allergy. Available since 2020, it is used when conventional treatment does not give sufficient relief.

Swallowing assessment

We insert an endoscope into the throat and observe swallowing. We assess saliva and mucus (sputum) from the throat, aspiration and vocal cord movement, then provide advice and training based on the results.

Swallowing assessment

Sleep apnea syndrome

A condition in which apnea or shallow breathing during sleep causes low oxygen and disrupts rest. It affects not only those who are overweight but also women and slim people, and brings daytime sleepiness and reduced concentration.
